Foreign oil companies smuggle millions of dollars from Algeria

Mixed teams from taxes, customs and trade investigate about dozens of operations carried out by several international oil companies having projects in the south, among them the handling of contracts concluded in London to avoid paying the enormous duties resulting from that. This illegal action has causes losses of millions of dollars to the Algerian Treasury. Oil companies undergone investigations on several projects in the field of oil, gas and mining. Among the irregularities committed and revealed by the preliminary investigation, contracts for projects handling, which were estimated to more than one hundred, were concluded in London to avoid paying the tax fees estimated at millions of dollars.
